Nimbus enterprise flash storage promises lower energy costs

Microsoft teams up for first home gadget for Hohm energy manager

Microsoft has teamed up with Blue Line Innovations to create a wireless energy monitor that will present  relevant information from its Hohm energy management service. The gadget looks like one of those weather and temperature information displays. It works with a WiFi feed.

GE makes investment in data center monitoring company SynapSense

Looks like data center energy intelligence company SynapSense is feeling some love from GE. The company is getting $5 million from GE Energy Financial Services, along with Emerald Technology Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Robert Bosch Venture Capital, American River Ventures, Nth Power and DFJ Frontier.
